Mitac MIO 8390 Full Phone Specifications & Features

The Mitac MIO 8390, launched in Q3 2003, was an early smartphone running Microsoft Smartphone 2003. With a 2.2-inch TFT display, VGA camera, and multimedia support, it offered advanced features for its time.

Weighing 125g and measuring 99 x 51 x 24 mm, the MIO 8390 featured a 176 × 220 pixel TFT screen (256K colors, 65K effective) and a secondary LCD display (48 × 64 pixels) for quick notifications.

Powered by an Intel PXA262 200 MHz processor, the phone included 16MB RAM and 32MB ROM, expandable via an MMC/SD card slot. It supported GPRS connectivity but lacked EDGE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

The VGA rear camera captured basic images, but video recording was not supported. The phone featured an MP3/AAC/AAC+/WMA/OGG player, voice memo, and an infrared port for connectivity.

The removable 1050mAh Li-Po battery provided up to 100 hours of standby time and 3 hours of talk time, making it suitable for daily use.
